The artist is an Afro-Caribbean artist whose work utilizes mostly drawing and painting. Through her practice, she seeks to dissect and understand femininity in patriarchal structures. She references her upbringing, the women who reared her, the ways they’ve been exploited, and their resilience. Within her artwork, she philosophizes on our perception of femininity and how it can be a form of resistance.

Danae Antoine is an interdisciplinary artist located in Atlanta, Georgia. She is currently pursuing a BFA at Georgia State University.
