My work wrestles with the sacred and absurd, excavating the hidden emotional landscapes of the human condition. I am especially interested in man's struggle to control the chaos of nature and create meaning though myth and symbol. My practice thrives in resourcefulness and exploration throughout traditional and recycled material; the resulting forms serving as ghostly guardians which are otherworldly yet uneasily familiar. My images create a world where redemption is possible through rupture, the line between dreams and madness is blurred, and the crude is elevated to a state of grace.
