Through proper execution, design can serve as a valuable ally to those in need. I am interested in design research, unique solutions to human experience problems, social patterns, and communication between cultures. My design has evolved from print to user interface design and user experience.

Min Sun Lee is a designer originally from Seoul, Korea, moving to the United States as a child. She embraces her unique combination of Korean and Western culture in her design and is especially interested in the research and design of unique solutions to problems involving the human experience, social patterns, and communication between cultures. She feels that through proper execution, design can serve as a valuable ally to those in need. She has presented and published the work nationally and internationally on graphic design curriculum, interface design, and packaging design.
Lee is a Professor of Art and the Director of the Graphic Design program at the University of Montevallo. She received a Bachelor of Art in Graphic Design with an the emphasis in art history from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Eau
Claire, Wisconsin, and Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa.

Lee is very involved in the Birmingham community including Sidewalk Film Festival, AIGA Birmingham, Design Week Birmingham, Railroad Park, Cahaba River Society, Innovation Center for Design Ambassadors, and Alabama Engine: AIGABirmingham + Design Thinking - sponsored by AIGA National from the Aspen Summit project.
